White marriage flowers have been the trademark of all marriages for several decades. However it’s time to shun away the conventional norm of white wedding flowers and add a dash of color to your wedding. These are some simple tips to make your wedding decorative by trying flowers in bright and joyous hues.

For starters, you can shed the idea the bride’bouquet must always be of pure and spotless white flowers. Instead, the modern bride can boost it up by adding lush hues of the season in the shape of colourful flowers in colours of emerald green, fuchsia pink, deep purple red, etc.

There are numerous engaging methods of using colours for the bridal bouquet. Firstly, you can use the same flower in different colors. For instance, you may use carnations in a few colours like pink, yellow, orange, red, white and the like.

Another thing to do could be to use different shades of an identical color. Silk marriage flowers give you more oppurtunities of playing with the colors vs real marriage flowers. So try going for silk wedding flowers.

An advantage here is that when you select the décor for wedding venue, you can easily match the furnishing with the color of flowers and the like.It might as well be the other way round. So if you go for a purple color dcor, you get the color range between deep purple and lilac. Anything between this color bracket suits the bill.

If you need to go off the beaten track, you may use ‘unusual’color combinations. Your wedding will certainly become a rite to remember.Move on from the usual orange and blue, it’s time to try something new.

A superb example of unusual combinations is highly contrasting colours, say orange and pink or green and purple. The color intensity of these mixtures is what makes them so effective. For a bright, in your face effect, choose all bright colours like the second. For a washed out look, choose contrasting light colors, say sky blue and light pink.

However, if you’d rather not go over the top with color experimentation, you’re able to add a hint of green to your agreements instead. You can use natural accompaniments to your white flowers for this such as foliage and leaves. Not merely will this add much-needed color but it’ll also add to the natural appeal of the flowers.

You can further jazz up your décor by dividing the room into to 2 parts and decorating them with separate flower colors on each side. However, your flower display should be kept consistent foe both sides. You may need to use blooms of contrasting colours for added drama such as orange and yellow or pink and blue.

Try these concepts and make your wedding colorful.

A wedding is never truly complete without the appropriate blooms marking the occasion. Flowers on your wedding day are incredibly heavy and help in setting the mood for the parties. The thing to consider however is where to get them from.

There are a few places from which you can get your wedding flowers like farmer markets, grocery stores, store front florist and wholesale flower marts. Buying from either of these sources has its own set of benefits and disadvantages.

The #1 source for marriage flowers is undoubtedly the wholesale market. They are very well stocked and offer the widest range of blooms available. So regardless of how unique your selection of flowers, you are bound to find it here.

Wholesale flower markets not just offer you a great variety to pick between but are great in terms of pricing too. Since these markets sell the flowers in large amounts, they provide great repayments and savings. The issue with these wholesale markets is that you will have problem finding one. Also, these markets are basically intended for the vendors so you may have issues buying wedding flowers. The bulk of the vendors are enthusiastic to sell the stock once professionals are done with the shopping.

For those who do not wish to spend lots on marriage flowers, grocery stores are a great option. They can offer you a decent variety of flowers at an affordable price. Also, these stores offer you the choice of getting the flowers delivered exactly on the day you want. However, a a downside to these grocery stores is they offer only a limited spread of marriage flowers.

Small florists are also an excellent option to source your marriage flowers. You can have them to arrange the sort of wedding flowers that you would want. Additionally, you can also ask them to make arrangements for all the materials that’ll be required to arrange for wedding flowers. Of course, these small front florists charge you for arranging flowers but it protects you from the trouble of hunting for flowers you want.Besides, you may have the florist help you with the marriage floral arrangement.

Today ,many people also decide to buy marriage flowers on the internet.Making your purchase online is the most handy and most straightforward methodology of ordering wedding flowers. Just surf through the website and you can get what you want right at the doorstep. While buying wedding flowers online is convenient,it is costly too.

Go ahead and make a choice from any of these options and buy wedding flowers.

Make Your Own Wedding Flower Decorations

Hiring a florist or a wedding planner to make your wedding flower decorations and wedding reception centerpieces can get very expensive.  Maybe you’re one of those people who has seen beautiful centerpieces or bridal bouquets in bridal magazines or at a wedding  and thought to yourself  “I think I could do that”.  Or maybe you have a friend or family member who is creative and wants to help you with your wedding plans and your wedding budget.  If that’s the case, then one real budget saver is to do your own wedding flowers.

The key to homemade wedding floral arrangements and wedding floral centerpieces that look professional is lots of planning, preparation, and practice.  You’ll be trading your time for your money, but in the end the savings will amount to hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars.

Here’s a list of things to keep in mind for your wedding flower ideas.

  • Gather And Organize Your Ideas: If you already have a wedding planner, then be sure to create a section specifically for your wedding flowers and wedding centerpiece ideas.  If you don’t have a planner then purchase a folder or a binder and start collecting your ideas.  Start off by purchasing wedding and bridal magazines and cut out the pictures of arrangements you like.  Visit your local florists and hotels to get ideas (take your cameras with you).  Your local newspaper probably announces upcoming weddings, so if you know of one being held in a local hotel (usually on Saturdays and Sundays) then just bob into the hotel with your camera and take pictures of the set-up.  No, we’re not asking you to become a professional “wedding crasher”.  You can visit the hotel prior to the actual reception and take pictures of the centerpieces that you like.   Once you’ve collected lots of ideas you can go through them and take pieces and parts of the ones you like and toss the rest.
  • Chose Your Colors:  When you begin to create your own wedding flowers you’ll need to decide on your color scheme.  Most likely you’ve already chosen your bridesmaids dresses and that’s the color scheme you’ll be using.  When chosing your colors you will need to keep in mind also the types of flowers that are available during the season you are getting married.
  • Chose Your Flowers: Once you’ve decided on your color scheme it’s time to start chosing your flowers for the bouquets and centerpieces you’ve chosen.  Keep in mind that there may be many different types of flowers that fit with the color scheme you’ve chosen, and each type of flower can vary greatly in price.  Also, again make sure to check with your local florists to make sure that they’ll be able to get the type of flowers you want during the season of your wedding.  Once you’ve confirmed with the florist what is available, then make your list and start placing your order.  Most florists will let you do this well in advance so that you’ll know for sure your flowers will be there when you need them.
  • Gather And Purchase Additional Supplies:  Make a list of everything you will need for each centerpiece, each bouquet and other areas you may be added flowers (ends of church pews, wedding party table, etc.).  Plan, plan and plan.  For example: if you are going to have 15 reception tables with 15 centerpieces then you will need 15 centerpiece containers, floral foam for each container, ____ of ____ flowers, __ stems of baby’s breath, etc. etc.  When you are preparing homemade wedding flowers you will need to have a set of clippers, floral tapes, floral foams, ribbons, moss, candles,  rose strippers?, etc. for each person that will be assisting in the assembly of the wedding centerpieces and bouquets.  Also, keep in mind that once your flowers are delivered you will need a cool place to store them (ask your florist how cool and how long they can be safely stored).  You’ll also need some very deep/tall vases to keep your flowers in so that they are well supported (usually something 18″-20″ deep).  These can usually be purchased inexpensively at your local home improvement store.  Once you have planned your arrangements, etc. you can start looking for sales and purchase many of the items ahead of time to save some extra money on your wedding flowers.  Store them all in one place to reduce the stress of trying to locate things later when you need them, and remember where you stored them.
  • Practice, Practice, Practice:  Once your flowers have been delivered and you’ve purchased all of your additional supplies, you (or whomever you have chosen to make your wedding flowers) should practice putting together one of each (i.e. one centerpiece, one bouquet, and one of any other floral arrangements you have chosen).  This is also a good time to determine how much time is required to make each floral arrangements and whether you have purchased enough supplies for each arrangement.
  • Make The Plan:  Now that you’ve made all of your decisions, purchased all of your supplies, had the flowers delivered (or picked up) and practiced…all that’s left is to organize everyone that will be assisting with creating the wedding flowers and make sure everyone knows where to be and when to be there.  Also, make a plan for someone to deliver the centerpieces to the reception location and the other flowers to the wedding ceremony venue.  Most likely your family, friends, and bridal party will all be more than happy to pitch in and help you out with all of the organizing, decorating and delivering so that you can focus on other details and yourself.
